Guides - Activating the iCal feature in a calendar

The GECKO Booking iCal feature allows you to link your GECKO Booking calendar to a calendar program on your computer or smartphone. This enables you to see your GECKO Booking calendar in this calendar program. Please note that this requires that your calendar program supports the iCal format.

In order to link your GECKO Booking calendar to your calendar program, the iCal feature must be activated on the calendar in question. This is done under the settings of the calendar ('Calendars' -> 'Settings' -> ‘Edit' (opposite the desired calendar)).
 
The iCal feature is activated by ticking the box and afterwards pressing 'Update' located at the bottom of the page. When the feature has been activated, you need to copy the url link into the calendar program where the link must be activated. This is done in different ways in different calendar programs. The reader is therefore referred to the other guide items that explain how a GECKO Booking calendar is activated in different calendar programs. This guide focuses on the most common calendar program. If your calendar program is not described in this guide, please do not hesitate to contact GECKO Booking, and we will try to see whether we can get the iCal feature up and running in your calendar program.

If you suspect that others have gained access to your iCal link, you can press new url. The old link will immediately stop working. However, please note that if you have activated the GECKO Booking calendar in your calendar program already, you must activate it again using the new url.
